BOOK COLLECTORS  LIBRARY  TABLE

This three legged circular table is made entirely from a single English Cherry tree with hand forged iron braces. Designed by Alan Tilbury and made by Ian Heseltine.

From the flat table surface six individual reading panels, including book stops, can be raised to a choice of three angles by pressing the Cherry tabs near the table centre. Every last detail is custom made including the extra thick constructional veneers for the panels, the brass lined hollow boxes for the book stops, and the Cherry tabs that pivot in a circular motion.

Awarded Guild Mark No.331 and the annual Claxton Stevens Prize for the most exceptional piece nationally from the The Furniture Makers Company, London.

The finely textured Cherry is finished with multiple layers of Danish oil for a natural and forgiving finish. Each brace is forged from a single piece of iron and waxed.
